North Ribblesdale lose on their travels again.
Bramley 44 v 35 North Ribblesdale.
Ribb travelled to Bramley with several changes yet again but gave a good account of themselves against a recently resurgent home side. It was lively game throughout with the lead changing hands on four occasions . Bramley kicked a penalty for an offside infringement which was swiftly followed by a try from their excellent diminutive full back Thomas Scorgie who was a thorn in Ribbs side all afternoon. Ribb were in control in the tight play and from an attacking lineout the irrepressible Adam Stubbs was mauled over to get Ribb within three points. The lead see-sawed in between a first try for local lad Joe Handy following a blistering break from teenage fullback Ben Coultherd and a second for hooker Stubbs to leave the interval score at 27 - 21 to the home side. Injuries and three players having to go off didnt help Ribb but they kept the pressure on and Handy scored again with another teenager Elliot Marklew getting a touchdown from a driven maul. Michael Thwaite added all five conversions but it was a man of the match performance from his brother William Thwaite that kept Ribb in contention until the end. This was a game that got away from Ribb but they should take heart that they were within striking distance at the end.
Ribb end the season with two home games starting this week against their friends from Ripon. A close encounter is expected and the KO is now 3.00pm
